Health Committee emanated from service and care committee and hospitals committee of the Holy Synod held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 the 6th Hope centers servants and head of hospitals conference at the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center in Abbasia.
The conference was held under the auspices of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the see of Saint Mark, and his two partners in the apostolic service Anba Benjamin, Bishop of Menoufia and Bishop Ermia General Bishop and head of the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center and in the presence of Father Daoud Lamei priest of St. Mark’s Cleopatra Church in Heliopolis and a number of Hope centers ministry custodians from different diocese.
At the beginning of the conference Anba Ermia delivered a speech in which he welcomed the attendees, also Anba Benjamin spoke about medication and the price of the medicine and then Father Daoud delivered a sermon entitled “I
reproach You”
The conference was moderated by Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, director of Hope Centers, who spoke about the obstacles of kidney transplants.
Dr. Ihab Wahba eyes advisory at the Eyes National Institute, spoke about corneal transplantation.
Hope ministry began in 1987, at Hope Center in Ard Elgolf, and the number rised to 55 centers, providing services for patients with kidney failure, liver , tumors, blood, heart, bones and eyes diseases.
